Having fun with catching flares lately, this one was just perfect. We have these flowering trees that more or less appear to be weed trees and hard to keep under control but once a year they put on a fabulous display of flowers. Pajama girl was skipping around the yard because she thought it was funny to have her snow boots on in summer and stopped to smell the flowers. Mother nature smiled down on her when she did so and I caught it with the camera.
We have been busy doing a whole lot of who knows what. I have a new case of endless 6-year old non stop questioning induced attention deficit. "do wishes come true?" "is there really a pot of gold under the rainbow?" "what is the highest number you can count to?" "have you ever heard of a flying ant?" "did you know skunks live in trees stumps" "can you really dig a hole to China?" "why does a bug bite itch?" "when is the beach open?" "what do salamanders eat?" "what are those blue lines on your legs?" "can I skip bath tonight?" "why isn't a hamburger made with ham?" "why can't we have a hamster?" "how come our house is old?" "why can't I stay up as late as you?" "What was your favorite color when you were my age?" .....and this is all the first 5 minutes of her waking. I have been asked things all day long and have tried to answer it all. After 5pm my answer is always the same, "go ask daddy".
I did manage between sprinkler and frog catching sessions to start another t-shirt skirt for a tutorial soon.
If you have been following you know there was also some chainsaws and hard hat work going on around here. All in all a crazy week but TGIF right? WRONG! I worked today, 12 hours in the cage. The AC broke and it was 82degrees. I got on the phone with the threat of hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of meds going bad. Luckily after 3 hours of listening to whines about the heat and sweating in places I never knew sweat the AC man came and saved the day....then we froze! Ah...home at last to relax but NOOOOOOOOOOOO... about 10 minutes after getting home and check in on PJ girl I head to the computer. Then there is a ton of commotion outside. Mr Honey is out there bringing a beagle onto our porch. Yes, 9:30pm and we have a wet beagle with no collar on our porch. There are 3 curious German shepherds going nuts outside and me on the phone instead of my computer making calls. So now our dogs are going crazy with curiosity...anyone who has German Shepherd dogs knows the whine all to well. But anyone who has a beagle...God bless you and your ear drums! It is going to be a long night and I am rather thrilled to go to the cage again tomorrow!
