It has been a fast week and a crazy as always. Speaking of crazy, you all are getting a sense of who I am by now so I can share a great big bee-blue-tiful piece of art I treated myself to just a about a year ago. One of the shops I have some artwork is a wonderful secret spot in the Adirondack foot hills. It is called Earthworks and owned by Jim and Christine Petrillo. From the road it looks like a little shack behind a mass of sawdust and gorgeous chainsaw sculptures. Inside is the best kept secret, a home for well over 70 local artists to sell their goods on commission.
Last year I envisioned just a very simple flat basic blue bee, something just for me. What I got was an amazing sculpture, a vision of a very talented artist.
Meet "Blue" (move over Paul Bunyan, your ox ain't got nothing compared to this)
Meet Jim with Blue
and now welcome to my house, warning it NEEDS TO BEE PAINTED! (the reason why the picture is small, far away and no pop up!)
Yes I am crazy, but next goal is this! There are a ton more amazing photos of the Eureka Tower found at Walking Melborne.
Thanks to Suki at Paint, Poems and Ponderings for spotting this great Mandala from Mandalas & More, I love the bees in this post she has titled "Fun/Plezier"
Gaye at The Paris Salon is all a buzz lately with her bees it seems. Look at this great ATC she has so appropriately labeled "Life is Sweet".
Leah from Creative Everyday has shared with me some more jewelry (imagine that) and I love this next sterling silver charm she found at Green Leaf and Owl on etsy. The bad news, it is sold!
Every now and again I like to search "blue bee" on Etsy and just did now. I found this adorable ceramic dipping bowl at Pink Kiss Ceramics, love the shop name by the way!
I am sure a lot of you have seen this out there beefore but need to share again with you this amazing artist , Elsa Mora. She was just featured in Sept/Oct edition of Cloth Paper Scissors (just got mine Friday). This paper sculpture, available in her shop, incredible as are all of hers and I am jealous it does not have dirty fingerprints on it! (especially after learning she also has a 5 year old daughter as well!)
She does not stop at paper, look at this felt pin from her etsy shop, sold of course but adorable!
This gal has lots of bees so buzz on off to visit her and get lost in some incredible art for the rest of your day!
It is time to hit the hive after reviewing all this delicious inspiration. Remember, if you see a bee please send to mee!!
