these are pictures from my art show. I go to an art class once a week all school year and learn about all sorts of ways to make art.
art is not just paint, below is a sewing project, a race car that works and a cube sculpture to use with any picture I want.
below is my forest friends painting. we could paint anything we wanted on canvas (mommy loves the pink sky)
below is our art inspired by medieval times and stories about Joan of Arc
it looks empty because we were early to get pictures before too many people are there. i love it when mommy makes funny faces on people we do not know if it is ok to show online
i got a trophy too. you have to complete 8 explorer missions outside of art class to get one. this is my second one and the art school has only been open 2 years, not bad!
i love art so much I could not even stop when we went out to eat after the show
i packed up my nature book, colored pencils and camera and put on my walking boots. they are really rain boots but the tall grass tickles my legs
going up the first field we say a new rock, a pretty painted one. it wasn't a rock at all, it was a painted turtle.
she was cruising along, daddy thinks she was going to lay eggs
we named her "daisy" since we also saw our first daisy of the season
after numerous complaints on my behalf about no place to sit on our walks, last week daddy took an old beat up picnic table way down at the bottom of one of our hills.
of course, there is more wildlife in these parts than we bargained for.
this past weekend we went to connecticut to play with our friends. it as hot but after we went to see Junie B Jones musical at a little playhouse we hit the town to shop. there was a big earth day festival all over town with lots to do. here we are making our own chia pets.
this is mine all done and all I have to do is add water when i get home
there was all sorts of great tables set up in town. i had to come sssssee this sssssnake...he felt sssssso ssssssmooth
later that night we waited a long time for some delicious ice cream at the ferris acre creamery
i had a lovely place to rest
until lily came to wake me up with help from alfie
there was a great park to play in but it was very hot so we found a cool stump chair to rest in the shade for a minute
i am going to miss this park and my friend, i don't want to leave
even our mom's had fun teaching us leap frog (look at that playground in the back)
i have snack day tomorrow
mommy tried a new recipe thanks to the cookbook grandma no longer needed, she tries to make me take healthy food as a snack once in a while but this time she made cookies.
they are chocolate chip, almost like cake and even have some chocolate chips blended in the batter...that is why they looks so dark. they are the most delicious cookies i have tried, so soft.
i asked mommy why she was so nice and made great cookies then she told me there was a trick to them. they are healthy. they have all healthy choices in them, even oatmeal but then there is the secret super healthy ingredient in them. i can not tell because i do not want my friends to know before they taste them tomorrow but i will give you a hint in the picture below:
i went to see my grandma this weekend. she made me the bestest birthday cake just like she made my mommy when she was little
my wish is already true because i got to be with you grandma! i love you and want to come back!
